Christopher M. Harne, Esq.



Chris Harne is an experienced strategist who focuses on getting the best possible results for his clients while minimizing their risks. Chris is a life-long Floridian who grew up in Orlando. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University, where he majored in English with a minor in Italian. He then went on to Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate and graduated Cum Laude. Chris was a member of the law review at Mercer, and competed on a moot court team that reached the semifinals of a national civil rights competition while earning the Best Brief Award. He was also named a National Member of The Order of Barristers, and earned the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing.

Following law school, Chris began his legal practice primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and defense. He has since expanded his practice to include a wide array of experience in both commercial and civil litigation, representing plaintiffs and defendants. He has litigated cases involving insurance disputes, personal injury and wrongful death, contract and business disputes, business torts, defamation, Internet disputes, and employment matters.

Chris also helps clients with business law matters, including getting new businesses off the ground or re-structuring existing businesses. He has significant experience advising businesses regarding risk management and employment matters, as well as preparing the agreements and governing documents necessary to protect the interests of small business owners.

Chris is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Historical Society of Central Florida, and has been published in the Florida Bar Journal and Mercer Law Review.
